AstraZeneca is seeking an Americas Regional Network Technical Director to lead and innovate in the dynamic world of network services in Boston, MA. The role involves driving significant regional projects, ensuring technical standards are met, and supporting Global Network Services priorities.
About the Role
As the Americas Regional Network Technical Director, you will define the overall Network Vision, manage a budget of over $55 million, and partner with cross-technology teams to deliver innovative network solutions. You will maintain relationships with IT, business customers, and vendors, provide technical leadership for regional projects, and coordinate network risk management.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum 10+ years of experience
- CCIE certification or equivalent working experience in large-scale network architecture design
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrated management experience of matrix and multicultural teams
- Experience in formulating successful strategic plans
- Experience working with Senior IT leadership
- Ability to build and maintain partnerships
- Significant experience working with vendors
- In-depth experience in SD-WAN, Wireless, Network Security
Preferred:
- Several years of exposure or direct management of IT service vendors
- Professional certification on Project Management and Agile ways of working
- Experience working in a global organization, preferably within the pharmaceuticals industry
- Outstanding communication and social skills
- Experience working in a customer-focused organization
