- Successful completion of a competency evaluation prior to patient care.
- Current CPR certification.
- Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
- At least one year of experience in an institutional setting (home health agency, hospital, hospice, or long-term facility) or completion of a 40-hour aide training course.
- Experience in hospice or long-term care settings.
- Ability to read, write, and carry out directions promptly and accurately.
