About the Role
As an AI/ML Manager, you will lead the development of foundation models for payments and merchants, develop AI Assistants and LLM systems, and drive the adoption of new ML systems for automating merchant onboarding. You will also build and lead a team of ML engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.
About You
Required:
- 10+ years of experience in machine learning, with a strong emphasis on modern technologies such as DNNs, Transformers, and Foundation Models.
- Proven experience in managing and developing a team of managers.
- Strong builder mentality with the ability to define a team's charter and lead complex systems development.
- Proven ability to shepherd large, complex ML projects and drive transformational change.
- Deep passion for solving interesting problems and building the latest technologies.
Preferred:
- A PhD or Master's degree with a research-oriented background.
- Experience with a large-scale, data-rich product in payments, commerce, search, or social media.
- Knowledge of challenges and opportunities in applying ML to fraud prevention or financial services.
