About the Role
As an After School Program Assistant, you will assist with activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum, which includes fitness, STEAM, academic adventures, and artsy creations. You will create a safe and engaging environment for children, communicate with parents through the Playground App, and adhere to OCFS guidelines and program policies.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent, or at least one year of experience working with children under 13.
- Medically cleared and free of communicable diseases, including tuberculosis.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with children, families, and staff.
- Physically capable of bending, stretching, lifting, and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Preferred:
- Experience working in a childcare or educational setting.
- Ability to engage children in various activities and maintain a positive environment.
