Summary
New York State Department of Health is seeking an Administrative Assistant 1 or Administrative Assistant Trainee to provide administrative support to the Wadsworth Center's Physician Office Laboratory Evaluation Program in Albany, NY.
About the Role
As an Administrative Assistant 1, you will maintain office procedures, design and maintain electronic filing systems, resolve operational problems, respond to phone calls, sort mail, and coordinate information flow among key managers and staff. You will also review and process applications for certification, enter data into systems, prepare documents, manage calendars, and handle confidential information requests.
About You
Required:
- Current New York State employee with one year of permanent service as an Administrative Assistant 1 or in a position allocated to a Grade 6 and above.
- Two years of experience in administrative support, including use of office software and customer service.
Preferred:
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, and attention to detail.
- Competence in Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, Adobe Pro, O365, and SharePoint.
