Inside Higher Ed is seeking an Adjunct Faculty, Dance (Non-Transferable) to join their team at the New World School of the Arts in Miami, FL. The role involves teaching non-transferable dance courses and choreographing works for high school and college students.
About the Role
As an Adjunct Faculty, you will teach lecture and laboratory sections, evaluate and advise students, develop curricula, recruit students, and participate in departmental and college affairs. You will also perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the educational experience of students in the Dance Division.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Dance or a related field with choreographing teaching work experience; or a minimum of an Associate's Degree in Dance or an Associate's Degree with choreographing work experience.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to work well with students, faculty, staff, and the community.
- Ability to work in a multi-ethnic/multi-cultural environment.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend assignments.
Preferred:
- Experience in choreographing and directing dance works.
- Willingness to travel to various campuses and/or outreach centers.
