G|M Business Interiors is seeking an Accounts Receivable / Collections Specialist to join their team in Riverside, CA. The role involves managing daily accounting tasks with a focus on accounts receivable and collections.
About the Role
As an Accounts Receivable / Collections Specialist, you will provide professional customer service regarding delinquent accounts, facilitate resolution of client issues, communicate with the Sales team, maintain spreadsheets for reconciling accounts, review payment terms, and follow established collection procedures to ensure positive cash flow. You will also perform collections, reconcile customer deposit accounts, and support the AR and AP Specialist as needed.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2-3 years previous experience in collections with a customer service focus.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred:
- Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field.
- Previous experience with Sage 100.
- Acute attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Strong organizational, research, follow-up, and time management skills.
