Summary
Jobot is seeking an Accounting Manager to join their team in Arbutus, MD. The role involves managing all accounting operations and overseeing financial statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
About the Role
As an Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for analyzing operational costs, overhead allocations, and pricing strategies. You will manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition. Additionally, you will coordinate the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, prepare monthly financial statements, and ensure compliance with regulatory reporting.
About You
Required:
- Proven working experience in general ledger/financial statements.
- 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience.
- Advanced degree in Accounting.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Experience with creating financial statements.
- Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
Preferred:
- CPA or CMA preferred.
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting.
