Summary
Patelco Credit Union is seeking an Accountant to join their team in Dublin, CA. The role involves ensuring the accuracy and completeness of daily and monthly operational accounting for the credit union's business activities.
About the Role
As an Accountant, you will be responsible for performing daily and monthly general ledger entries, reconciliations, and schedules for Patelco's business products and operations. You will manage accounting functions related to property, plant, and equipment, credit card postings, daily cash balancing, wire transactions, and monthly vendor accruals. Additionally, you will support branches with inquiries related to transactions, provide backup for accounts payable, and assist in month-end close journal entries.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- 5+ years' hands-on accounting experience with solid understanding of accounting principles and practices
Preferred:
- Financial institution or payments experience
- Prior experience with accounting ERP system (ie Fiserv) and reconciliation tool (ie Blackline)
