About the Role
As an Accountable Manager for the Wastewater Capital Program, you will direct the oversight of planning, design, and construction of major capital projects. Your responsibilities include ensuring project goals are met, managing schedules and reports, negotiating contract modifications, and ensuring compliance with environmental health and safety standards. You will also coordinate with various bureaus and stakeholders, manage staff, and monitor project performance metrics.
About You
Required:
- A baccalaureate degree in engineering, architecture, landscape architecture, business administration, or public administration.
- Five years of full-time satisfactory experience in engineering design or construction, with two years in an administrative, managerial, executive, or supervisory capacity.
Preferred:
- Proficient oral and written communication skills.
- Possession of a valid New York State motor vehicle driver license.
- Knowledge of permitting, equipment, materials, codes, and standards.
- Experience in writing and reviewing contract specifications for major public works projects.
