About the Role
As a Research Scientist Intern, you will collaborate with researchers and engineers to conduct world-class research in areas such as Natural Language Processing, Distributed AI, and AI for Business and IT Automation. Your responsibilities will include defining and driving a research agenda, with the goal of publishing your work at top academic venues. You will also engage in software development and apply machine learning techniques to solve complex problems.
About You
Required:
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C/C++, JavaScript, and R.
- Understanding of software engineering best practices, including agile techniques.
- Experience with cloud-native development and tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
- Knowledge of machine learning engineering, including creating training pipelines and evaluating models using PyTorch, TensorFlow, and scikit-learn.
- Familiarity with design, validation, and characterization of algorithms and systems.
- Understanding of machine learning theory, including discriminative and generative models, deep neural networks, and bias mitigation.
Preferred:
- Experience analyzing large-scale data from various sources.
- Experience publishing scientific results in technical communities such as NeurIPS, ICML, or similar.
- Experience in training large-scale machine learning models.
- Skills in qualitative and quantitative user research and user-centric design.
- Experience in front and back-end web application development using frameworks like HTML, CSS, React, and Node.js.
- Knowledge of advanced topics such as reinforcement learning and model architectures.
