Conception is seeking a (Senior) Epigenetics Computational Biologist to join their team in Berkeley, CA. The role involves analyzing and mining genome-wide datasets to gain insights into stem cell and ovarian cell biology.
About the Role
As a (Senior) Epigenetics Computational Biologist, you will collaborate with biologists on various projects, performing data set processing, quality control assessment, differential expression, pathway analyses, and more. You will leverage computational data to generate new hypotheses and scientific directions, translating complex low input datasets into actionable insights for laboratory testing.
About You
Required:
PhD in epigenetics, computational biology, genomics, systems biology or related field + 1-5 years of industry experience.
5+ years of experience analyzing and interpreting epigenetics data & translating insights into actionable progress at the bench.
Experience leading epigenetics-based projects as evidenced by a strong publication record.
Highly proficient in R, Python, and Bash.
Excellent data analysis skills.
Strong ability to devise, scope, and execute data analyses independently.
Highly proficient in analyzing ATAC and multiomics datasets, ChIP-seq or CUT&TAG datasets.
Proficiency in versioning and collaborative coding via Git.
Prior experience translating computational findings into testable hypotheses and experimental designs.
Strong communication skills, particularly with diverse audiences.
Prior experience with a high performance computing cluster and/or cloud computing environment.
Preferred:
Prior experience with iPSC derivation & germ cell biology.
Knowledge of relevant bench techniques.
Experience leveraging deep learning tools in multiomics.
